Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer for build and release testing, you will work closely together with the software development teams and the functional product owners in order to determine the right focus, meet business results and learn about the new features.

Your Profile

You hold a bachelor or master’s degree and/or have several years of experience in the Supply Chain area. Having a Certification in software testing is an advantage (ISTQB). You have 2-3 years of experience in a software testing role: testing methodologies, tools, and processes; writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience with quality assurance and performance testing is a plus. You have a solid IT technical background. You are familiar with a scripting language and SQL/Oracle. You are passionate about improving the quality of software products. You are a committed bug-hunter and you get a kick out of uncovering those hard-to-find bugs. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus. You have excellent communication skills. You work punctually but keep the global overview at all times. You are eager to learn, analytical and you can cope with time pressure.

Your Challenge

You will define test scenarios with the use of functional and technical design documents.

You will create comprehensive, detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases. On top of that you will design, develop and execute automation scripts using different tools.

You will make an accurate estimate of the priority and difficulty of the testing activities and plan them accordingly. You will continuously optimize and extend the test environments.

You will track bugs and document your actions. It is important to continuously communicate with all parties involved.
