Wärtsilä Marine Power Solutions is now looking for a Strategic Purchaser. Strategic Purchaser leads and manages in own area of responsibility supply management activities according to category action plan. In this position you act in a key role in supplier interface. Location: Vaasa, Finland. Responsibilities: - Ensuring Quality, Delivery, Lead Time and Cost development of materials and services for own area of responsibility - Managing and developing supplier base, performance, relationships and negotiations - Creating and updating supplier agreements - Securing capacity and forecasting - Support supplier and product validation process - Analysing future supply demand - Internal & external stakeholder management - Gathering and analysing spend and supplier data, executing benchmarking and providing data to the relevant functions - Secure compliance to Supply Management processes/procedures, strategies and agreements Requirements: As an ideal candidate, you would have - MSc or BSc in Economics or Engineering - Working experience in supply management & purchasing - Excellent negotiation and presentation skills - Supply chain knowledge - Knowledge of commercial law - Strong personal drive, used to taking own initiatives and being proactive - Fluent written and spoken English - Good communication and team working skills - Knowledge of manufacturing technologies is seen as advantage - Experience in SAP is seen as an advantage - Willingness to travel Please apply by 5th of April 2019.
