Wire Harness Design Engineer
Currently, we give support to ALTEN on European level in searching of candidates, mainly for IT/ Telecom and Engineering positions. For one of our clients from automotive sector, based in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for Wire Harness Design Engineer with experience in electric design.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
- Design of different components such as tube assemblies and manifolds (fuel, lube, and air), unit support brackets, electrical harnesses, and cold structures
- Direct CAD activity 3D routing and package layout
- Making the electrical wiring diagram
- Define connector configurations
- Define electrical circuits, relays and grounds
The candidate we are looking for should have the following skills:
- Engineering background (Master or Bachelor Degree)
- CAD tool knowledge
- Knowledge of CATIA V5
- Experience with Electrical Work Bench
- Knowledge of reading technical drawings
- Knowledge of how to read and use engineering specifications
- Knowledge Vehicle EDS systems in the 3D environment
Valuable:
- Cost understanding
- Trained and Certified to utilize Team Centre (TCe)
- Knowledge of harness installation requirements
- Knowledge of harness manufacturing requirements
The minimum of one-two years of experience in the similar position and very high level of English are mandatory. French is highly valuable.
