In this role you will have the opportunity to the lead the effort, work with requirements and expose yourself to the customers’ needs. We need you to have a good understanding of assistive technology and to be able to transform this knowledge into software development.

Your responsibilities

• Be a technical consultant to project teams and product management to ensure compliance with Accessibility Standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Implement, review and recommend changes to the accessibility assessment processes, methodology, tools and criteria.
• Provides direction, training, expertise and feedback to build accessibility capacity within various technical groups
• Continually enhance skills, and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems

Your profile:

• Programming and web development experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery).
• Strong knowledge of W3C standards, specifically the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.
• Ability to analyze and debug code and provide technical solutions for web developers with respect to accessibility
• Knowledge of assistive technology including screen readers, print magnification software and alternative input systems.
• Mobile application development experience is desirable.
• Experience from using agile software development methods is considered a plus
• Excellent verbal and written English as the corporate language is English
