Warehouse & Production Operatives

Job Description:

You shall be employed as a ‘Seasonal General Operative’ and shall undertake such duties as the company shall assign to you including the following:

a) Prepare, label, box and palletise plant stock to customer specification.

b) Maintain warehouse bays to a high standard of cleanliness and to safety standards as defined by law, Uniplumo H&S committee, induction the staff handbook and any amendments thereafter.

c) Maintain plant stocks to consistently meet with specification .This includes watering, correct rotation of stock s, laying out stocks on benches and other measures deemed necessary to preserve quality.

d) Maintain dry stocks (boxes, cards, labels etc.)This includes returning unused stocks to where they belong, not dumping usable stocks ,keeping tape guns safe, drying out boxes when wet etc.

e) Use company equipment with care, on the understanding that it gets returned in the same condition as it was taken.

f) Break down trolleys when finished and leave them presented and ready for shipping back to company suppliers.

g) Assemble orders to specification as required

h) Ensure all Lorries are loaded and de-kitted in a proper and safe manner

i) Perform general duties as set out by the pack house manager or other members of the management team from time to time.

j) Bench/Bay preparation.

k) Pot filling.

l) Propagation function.

m) Growing-on Functions.

n) Order Assembly.

o) Maintain Production Bays to a high standard of cleanliness and to safety standards as defined by law, Uniplumo H & S committee, induction and the health and safety handbook and any amendments thereafter.

p) Perform general duties as set out by the production manager or other members of the management team.
