The department is responsible for delivering service solutions on all brands enabling the service business to fulfil its strategic targets. This department holds the design responsibility for service and after sales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured. We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business. We support combining operational WTG knowledge with new designs for service solutions. The Service Engineering has high attention in Vestas as the marked is increasing and getting more complex. 



You will work with highly specialised and diverse colleagues, who takes great pride in collaborating across borders to finding the innovative solutions needed to meet the demand of a growing and complex business. The team is located in different geographical locations and is expanding since this is a cornerstone in Vestas journey to be the market leader within sustainable energy solutions. Responsibilities

  • Technical ownership of product(s)/components within the respective module. Monitoring products/components and SW releases to be dealt with either for handover of ownership or for secured future operations/sales by initiating gabs
  • Representing Service as the Technology lead towards Vestas Power Solutions and support the Service Lead to encourage the similar Service Module Team. Bring module knowledge into new and existing product requirements
  • Responsible for bringing ideas to a variety of roadmaps (technology, Cost out, Maintenance etc.) for the platforms to choose from. Technical and commercial input provider to project ideas
  • Supporting Platform Managers, Product Managers and the Product Portfolio Management team by translating commercial requirements into technical specifications and reporting on module performance
  • Throughout product development, provide technical sparring and support to Tech Lead and Platform Manager securing the optimal solutions
  • Supporting Platform Managers, Product Managers and the Operational Management team with breaking down the technical requirements to fit a level A and B work package (together with Line Mgr and Tech. Lead and Functional Lead)
  • Evaluating incoming quality cases (Continuous Improvements Management CIM) from a technical risk as well as commercial risk point of view. Secure that the platform owners are adequately informed and propel the needed actions/decisions

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree within Computer Science, software development, electronics or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with software development on turbines or Electronics Engineering
  • Certainty and capability of working with tools and systems like C/C++, SQL, GIT, JIRA, Linux, MATLAB/Simulink, VxWorks, Stash development environment
  • Experience working with turbines and having the overall turbine knowledge to collaborate with other modules
  • Experience within Electronic hardware, power electronics, analogue and digital hardware design work.  A well founded understanding of production engineering (electronics) would be beneficial
  • Proven experience in SW/application & Electronics development, EoL maintenance and knowledge about Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology

Additional information

Work location is Aarhus N, Denmark, but for the right candidate Porto, Portugal would be an option.
