Thermodynamics Development Engineer
Currently, we give support to ALTEN on European level in searching of candidates, mainly for IT/ Telecom and Engineering positions. For one of our clients, the company that works in the fields of energy, technology infrastructureand industry based in Austria, we are looking for Thermodynamics Development Engineerwith experience in gas engine development.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
- Self-dependent working in gas engine development projects with focus on thermodynamics
- Conceptual and detailed design of thermodynamic concepts for gas engines including control concepts
- Definition, planning and execution of measurement campaigns on engine test benches and customer sites including proper selection of measurement equipment and subsequent thermodynamic analysis
- Definition, planning and execution of simulations, analysis and validation of gas engines thermodynamics
- Further development of existing products, new product introduction and new technology innovations
- Tight collaboration with controls, mechanical engineering, design and test validation
The candidate we are looking for should have the following skills:
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Working experience in an engine development environment
- Program management experience preferable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to travel to ensure global team alignment
- Good German and English language skills
