We are looking for a "System Engineer (f/m/d) EMC / EME" for the area of "Environmental Engineering" at our Ulm location as soon as possible.



The area "Environmental Engineering" is responsible for analytical and experimental reliability prediction and verification. This includes test facilities for electromagnetic, climatic and mechanical tests. On the other hand, analytical methods are used to verify structural integrity. Thus we use finite element methods in connection with load models (analytical description of vibration, shock, wind loads, etc.) and material data to prove structural integrity but also for lifetime prediction.

 

Your Tasks

  • Selection of applicable EMC / EME specifications (standards, guidelines etc.) for new / fundamentally changed equipment / systems
  • Definition of the applicable legal framework concerning EMC, radio and safety in electromagnetic fields (product safety)
  • Development of EMC / EME requirements at system level (EMC, TEMPEST, lightning protection, spectral purity etc.)
  • Creation of EMC / EME equipment specifications based on EMC / EME system requirements
  • Development of specific EMC / EME protection measures / concepts based on the selected EMC / EME specifications for equipment and / or systems
  • Development of EMC / EME verification strategies for complete systems
  • Creation of project-specific EMC / EME analyses, test plans, test procedures etc.
  • Review / monitoring of the implementation of EMC / EME protective measures
  • Support of projects during their complete product life cycle with regard to all EMC / EME issues (e.g. obsolescence, upgrades etc.).
  • Preparation of hazard analyses with regard to high-frequency electromagnetic fields (RADHAZ)
  • Responsibility for checking compliance with the protection goals of the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and RE Directive (2014/53/EU) for HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH products / projects
  • Development of lightning protection concepts for stationary, deployable and mobile systems
  • Development of TEMPEST concepts for stationary, deployable and mobile systems

 

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed University education in the field of electrical engineering / high frequency technology or comparable
  • Sound experience in the field of electromagnetic compatibility of complex systems, preferably in the defense or aerospace sector
  • Profound knowledge in system design with regard to EMC / EME
  • Experience in implementing Directives 2014/30/EU and 2014/53/EU
  • Knowledge of EMC typical coupling mechanisms
  • Quick grasp of complex technical / physical relationships
  • Measurement experience in the field of EMC / TEMPEST / RADHAZ
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
  • Structured and conscientious working method
  • Very good MS Office knowledge
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Very good German and English knowledge
