System Engineer (m/f/d) Database Operations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Operation of database management systems of different manufacturers
• Self-Responsibe creation, update, backup and restore of databases
• Creation and maintenance of automation for installation, extension and monitoring of databases
• Deployment of tools for automated DBMS operation
• Provisioning of databases (both on-premise and cloud-based)
• Creation of operating documents and concepts
• Participation in international project teams and project lead
• Coordination and management of external subject matter experts

 The position can be offered at any national Rheinmetall location.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• University degree or comparable education in the profession of IT
• Several years of professional experience in DBMS operation, especially in the area of Oracle or MS-SQL (other DBMS or non-SQL DB also quite desirable)
• Confident in the application and creation of automation scripts
• Experience in change planning in DBMS environment is required
• Good conceptual skills
• Certification in DBMS environment is desirable
• Experience in project management is desired
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Enthusiasm for the set-up work in the context of an IT transformation
• Independent, self-organized, structured and professional working style
• Systematic thinking, methodical approach and creativity
• Distinct communicative and social competence for cooperation and coordination
• High level of commitment, motivation, ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Assertiveness, flexibility, intercultural competence and willingness to travel
