As a System Engineer your main focus will be the IT technical set-up and technical support of OMP Supply Chain applications on the customers infrastructure.

Your Profile

You have a Bachelor in e.g. informatics, or similar by experience, with a technical background combined with a basic interest in our supply chain planning software. Required technical knowledge:

  • You have practical or theoretical knowledge of PC, Windows Servers, Networks.
  • Knowledge of VMWare and the Microsoft Powershell scripting language is a plus.
  • We welcome experience with relational databases (Oracle).
  • Experience with software installation is an added value.

You are passionate about computer related technology and you like to work within a standardized framework. You can work autonomously with attention to detail. You are motivated, team-oriented, well organized and responsive to customer problems. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You have an excellent command of English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus (Spanish, Chinese, French,…). Occasional travel may be required.

Your Challenge

You are responsible for the IT technical aspects of the implementations. You will discuss the requirements with the customer and your consultant colleagues working in customer projects. You will follow-up and take timely actions. Finally, you will configure and test the installed software.

You will train the customer’s IT staff on the technical aspects. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the technical documentation of the installations. We expect you to give input on the best practices to our development team.

Besides the implementations, you will provide technical support to customers, consultants and the support engineers.

Although this is an in-house position, you will get to know a variety of systems since you are working for different customers in all kind of industries.

You will get trained in our head office in Wommelgem. If you are working in one of our affiliates (Wavre or Gent), we expect you to visit the head office 1 day a week on average.
