Job Purpose

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver long term programs for technical and professional services categories which support the business requirements of the Central European region and other regions as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day purchasing activities for the Central European region;
  • Implementation of CIL global procurement policy in the region: local procurement procedures to be aligned with the Global procurement Policy;
  • Definition and implementation of procurement strategies, road maps and globalization initiatives for the region, in relation with Global Procurement;
  • Gain management and stakeholders support for proposed strategies. Lead their implementation and regularly report on progress senior management;
  • Active cooperation and leadership of cross-functional project teams;
  • Conducting negotiations and contract management with domestic and international suppliers and service providers;
  • Responsible for compliance with procurement processes and legal requirements;
  • Maintenance and quality assurance of relevant master data;
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives to meet the corporate goals and identify best solutions to provide long-term value to the business;
  • Launch of supplier development initiatives;
  • Ability to successfully drive projects;
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, post-graduate / masters in engineering, business administration or purchasing;
  • Fluency in English and Romanian is a must, other eastern European languages are an asset;
  • At least 5 years of international procurement experience with demonstrated progress preferably in manufacturing organizations;
  • Experience in strategic procurement and strategy definition;
  • Preferably experienced in technical categories;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a customer-oriented profile;
  • Experience in SAP/ERP Procurement solutions (S/4HANA MM, Ariba…);
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and solve problems;
  • Project Management skills are an asset.
