The position we offer
Group Operational Risk (GOR) is a division within Group Risk Management and employs approx. 120 Operational Risk professionals. Within GOR the Competence Centre has a number of teams, of which the Incident and Root Cause Team is very centrally placed in our Operational Risk value chain.
The Competence Centre and the Incident and Root Cause Team are both newly established units and we are in the beginning of a larger ramp-up phase, so you will be expected to take part in building up this team and its skills and competences in close co-operation with the team leader for the Incident and Root Cause team.
The team will be working with Incident Management, data quality assurance and root cause support from a 2nd Level of Defence (LoD) perspective. The team will be responsible for developing, detailing and maintain the Incident management framework within Nordea, but also a number of processes and tools that will be used group wise. Furthermore the team will be the owner of the Nordea best Practise, but also train and monitor the 1st LoD´s (i.e business) and cooperate with the Operational Risk Officers to secure high quality in the Incident reporting and root cause analysis across all business areas.
A deep and holistic experience within incident management and/or root cause analysis will be required, together with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as a close collaboration across Nordea around incident and root cause is very important for adding value to the business and achieving our objectives.
The qualifications you need

You have an analytical mind-set and take initiative and strive for delivering value adding results through simple solutions.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Analytical skills and ability to deal with complex issues
- Excellent communication skills
- Deep experience in securing data quality in an incident process and, how to do support root cause analysis to identify and mitigate the “real” root cause of an incident.
- Integrity and capacity to work independently
- Experience of building strong stakeholder relationships
- Holder of a relevant university degree
- Professional level in both speaking and writing English as this is Nordea corporate language.
- Preferable that you speak one or more of the Nordic languages as you might need to support locally.
You can be located in any of the Nordic capitals. The positions will require some traveling as the team members and stakeholders will be located across the Nordic region.
