Cowper Care is seeking applications for the role of Staff Nurse. Staff Nurses practicing in Cowper Care are required to develop their professional standards while operating within the nursing roles and responsibilities aligned to their Contract of Employment, Code of Professional Conduct and Scope of Nursing Practice. 

Applicant Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Nursing Qualification.
  • Registration with The Nursing and Midwifery Board.

Qualifications Desirable:

  • Post Grad in Gerontology or Dementia.
  • Previous experience in care of the elderly

Professional Knowledge

Essential:

  • Knowledge of Residential Care legislation including HIQA’s National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland, and others as applicable
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the care needs of older people including people with dementia.
