Job description

We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team at the Hamlet Court Hotel. The Hamlet Court Hotel is a family run 30 bedroom hotel in the village of Johnstownbridge in Co Meath. As the sous chef, you will play a vital role in the production of excellent food. Excellent rates of pay for the successful candidate.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a sous chef.
  • The ability to engage well with team members to provide an outstanding and unforgettable food experience for guests.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of HACCP knowledge.
  • To maintain a safe, hygienic, and healthy working environment.
  • The ability to adapt to change and work well under pressure, in all areas of the kitchen where needed.
  • Be flexible with working hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in excellent food production.
  • Support the kitchen operations of the hotel.
  • Support the head chef in their duties.
  • Complete all HACCP documentation as required.
  • Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and hotel standards.
  • To assist with the preparation of stocktaking/assist with stocktaking.
  • To place orders with suppliers for food as required.
  • To ensure the correct storage of food.
  • To assist in the training of other staff.
