Who are we?

We are a highly skilled and supportive team of 10 people working in Baltic Non-Life Insurance (e.g. travel, casco insurance) area. Our team’s key role is to support Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania business and customers (in-house and external) by delivering projects and maintaining area related services in a high-quality and timely manner. We work in an agile way, appreciating quality, openness and creative way of thinking.

What kind of exciting challenges await you?

We are looking for a dedicated Java enthusiast, who would share our passion and enjoy the challenge of working on projects that influence customers all over the Baltics. As a Software Engineer in an agile-minded team, you will be participating as well in analyses, testing and maintenance, while working closely with product owners, business analysts and experts from other IT teams across Swedbank.

Technologies involved include (but are not limited to):

  • Back-end: Java SE, Spring, REST, Liberty;

  • Front-end: JavaScript, HTML5, JQuery;

  • Dev. environment: GI, Gradle, IntelliJ IDEA, Linux

 

What does it take to succeed?

We expect you to take responsibility, be proactive, hungry for continuously broadening your skills and interested in sharing the knowledge.

Additional must-haves:

  • Strong knowledge about and years of previous experience with Java

  • Experience with Oracle database development (PL/SQL)

  • Will to work in an agile environment

  • Good analytical skills and logical thinking

  • High communication and cooperation skills, mind-set of a true team-player

  • Confidence in speaking and writing in English
