Our customer base and teams are constantly expanding and we are involved in large scale strategic partnerships around the world, processing more online payments in a day than all Estonian banks combined. We are looking for an addition to our Connectivity Development team to work on our operator integrations and payment services supporting the business of partners from Spotify to Google Play, Sony to Facebook, Paypal to Viasat and mobile operators like Orange to Vodafone and Telia to T-Mobile.

You will play an integral part in our engineering organization, where you have great opportunities for growth, taking responsibility and strong personal impact for delivering great products. At Fortumo we believe engineers should have a say in how they build the products and the authority to make decisions and take responsibility for building them.

Your day-to-day:

  • developing and maintaining a swarm of high traffic microservices in cloud environments using mostly Java
  • participating in the end to end lifecycle (from design and architectural decisions to release to decomission) of products
  • designing and building API integrations together with external service providers from all over the world
  • deploying your code to production, enjoying the benefits of continuous integration and deployment
  • communicating with different stakeholders and team members in order to bring their business ideas into reality
  • showing initiative in bringing out technical improvements regarding our products
  • being in the know of industry trends and incorporating cutting edge data analytics, infrastructure and other modern solutions into our workflow
  • contributing to teammates' growth

We really want you to:

  • have experience as a back-end developer
  • have strong Java skills
  • have desire to grow with us, be curious and persistent with an attention to detail
  • be able to take initiative and work towards results
  • be familiar and agreeable with Lean and Agile development practises
  • understand the importance of software testing and how to write good tests
