Technologies like IoT, Big Data, machine learning and autonomy are emerging technologies within agriculture machinery. AGCO, one of the leading global companies with the agriculture machine domain, are therefore looking for a qualified engineer to a new-established position in the company’s Research & Advanced Engineering center in Denmark.

Job description

    • Design and development of IoT software solutions for logistics and operation management within crop farming
    • Development of optimization algorithms and models for real-time route planning and coordination of agriculture vehicles
    • Exploration and development of control methods for autonomous agriculture vehicle fleets
    • Work in a cross-functional team within the global AGCO organization
    • Collaborate with external partners within both academia and industry

Qualifications

    • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Control Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
    • Analytical skills for system identification of complex non-linear systems
    • Experience with various development tools and systems like HTML, Java, MathLab and VDM modeling
    • Basic domain knowledge within agricultural or Biosystems engineering
    • Experience with analysis and/or optimization of logistical system
    • Experience with cloud-based software applications (IoT, Cyper Physical Systems and Big Data)
    • Experience with machine learning, autonomous vehicles and vehicle smartness
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
