For our Global Siting department we are looking for Software Engineer with strong programming skills to assist in the development of wind resource analysis tools. In this role, you will be part of a diverse team of dedicated wind experts who develops and coordinate wind and site related activities for colleagues around the world. This includes implementation of new tools and methodologies for micro siting, terrain and climatic evaluation, wind resource mapping and wind turbine load evaluation.
What are my responsibilities?
· Designing, programming and documenting internal software tools. · Enabling seamless interaction of different tools and optimizing work processes. · Supporting regional end users and performing bug fixing.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· A Master’s degree in software programming combined with VB.NET and C#.NET, and ideally of C and C++ practical experience. · Basic understanding of Matlab as well as an excellent knowledge of VBA and Excel. · Familiar with design of database solution and data access using Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with writing SQL queries, LINQ (Language-Integrated Query) and database performance optimization. · You thrive in a dynamic and international environment and have the ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously and to manage priorities and meet deadlines. · Fluent in English both orally and in writing.
