As the senior solution architect for Revenue Optimization you will have a very high degree of influence on not just what, but also how we reach our end state solution.



You will get to interact with leading IT vendors, internal subject matter experts and internal and external highly skilled IT professionals in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a distinct respect for the individual. Within a certain period it is also expected that you will get the opportunity to manage a small team of solution architects/developers.



The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Solution Architect you will be responsible for the technical integrity and scalability of the solution, ensuring each solution is designed and implemented in accordance with enterprise guidelines, standards and best practice.

The Senior Solution Architect will be a part of the project team working on the solution design to ensure effective translation of the solution architecture. A key part of this role is to consult and collaborate with other architects and sub domains in the overall programme so that solutions are properly defined and coordinated with solutions being developed.



You will work closely together with a team of professional Project Managers, Technical Teams, Enterprise Architects and other verticals.



Responsibilities are:

• Strategic / thought leadership within the early solution envisioning

• Provides leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization wide projects

• Works closely with project teams on their solution designs to ensure effective translation of the solution architecture into solutions

• Architects and designs solutions to complex business requirements in accordance with enterprise application and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines

• Identifies, discusses and decides on exceptions to EA principles and standards during the course of solution design and development; being the design authority that defines best practice

• Acts as escalation layer for architectural issues in related projects

• Working with delivery teams to develop sustainable and achievable solutions; assisting solution designers/developments team in detailed specification of data, service and process requirements

• Contributing to developing, maintaining and publishing principles, standards, guidelines and processes as needed, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture

• Building and maintaining a catalogue of architectural decisions

• Identifying, discussing, requesting and logging exceptions to EA principles and standards during the course of solution design and development

• QA of development artifacts (code, documentation and implementation specifications) and vendor deliveries 

 

Who we are looking for

The right candidate has advanced knowledge and understanding of architecture, products and integration coupled with a proven track record working as a solution architect within complex environments.



Further it is strongly desired that you have experience from implementing Pricing/revenue management/optimization solutions from previous positions.



As the role entails participation from the initiation phase of the programme it is of crucial importance that you can provide strategic thinking and thought leadership on how to develop the full-scale architecture. Further you need to be proactive, self-driven and assertive to perform in the complex environment.



The ideal candidate holds a Degree within a relevant field, and has experience working within large enterprises. Advanced knowledge and understanding of architecture, products and integration coupled with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.



You demonstrate application of the following core competencies:

• Business Case Development

• Enterprise Application Integration

• Product and Vendor Evaluation (contribute)

• Requirement Management

• Solution Architecture Design

• Systems Integration

• Experience with implementing one or more revenue management solutions (PROS, JDA, etc.)



Furthermore you have excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate, rationalize and document solutions, and the ability to translate between technical language and business language. You have a Big Picture/Systems thinking and the ability to understand complex business problems and needs. You also have excellent experience, knowledge and exposure to systems integration.



As a person you are result oriented and diplomatic coupled with an ability to act in an often complex business environment. You are considered and mature, and you have the ability to work independently with only little guidance.
