We Offer We are looking for an experienced and motivated project cost engineer/controller, to support cost controlling and cost management relating to our client modification projects as well as maintenance projects. The projects in scope range between USD 10 and 200 million. As a member of our project controlling team you will become part of the global A.P. The Project Controlling Team has a direct reporting line into Finance with dotted line into the Technical Organization and is characterized by being multinational and engaged, striving to be an effective and value-adding business partner to the front-line organization. We are in midst of a transition from excel/PIMS project controlling towards an integrated ERP system. This will significantly change the content of the work for also the cost controlling team and you will have the opportunity to support this transition. Key Responsibilities As Senior Cost Engineer/Controller your primary area of responsibility will include all cost effort within the project team’s scope of work. You will have your own projects as well as provide guidance to 1-2 controllers working with our upgrade/maintenance projects. You will further ensure compliance with Accounting Guidelines and prepare corporate cash flow reporting. You will work with a multiple of stakeholders interacting mainly with the Planner, Project Team as well as our maintenance organization. Your main areas of responsibility will be: •Facilitate project estimation process and make quality assurance on cost and linkage with plan/schedule. Prepare project budget/justification and benchmark to ensure project budgets are stretched yet doable. •Verify schedule/plan changes are reflected in cost forecast •Participate in contract management of vendors and follow-up up time/progress input from various contractors to enable Earned Value / timesheet controlling •Maintenance of our project cost tools (short term excel/PIMS – longer term our new ERP system IFS) •Provide guidance and assurance of deliverables of 1-2 less experienced controllers •Monitor, analyze, forecast and report monthly or weekly with relevant information such as earned value, s-curves, use of contingency •Facilitate Cost Risk Analysis •To lead the implementation and improvement of project cost control methods and tools •Prepare smaller business cases as and when investments in exchange equipment for reducing off hire is required. Who we are looking for We are looking for an experienced and committed Project Controller or Project Engineer with a proven track record of handling complex projects with a multitude of stakeholders and preferably with an international outlook, with the following characteristics: •You are proactive and have a can-do attitude •You are structured, analytical and can plan and perform the work independently •You are detailed orienteered and yet extrovert and can communicate the financial dynamics on both detail and high level •You are robust and can ask the right critical questions and yet appreciate the constructive dialogue. •You are a team player with focus on contributing constructive to the departments/projects goals. •You hold either a Master's degree or an "HD" in Finance, Engineering or equivalent education and have at least 5 years of relevant experience including documented achievements within project controlling (earned value principles/link to project schedule) •It will be a benefit if you have experience with planned maintenance projects/systems •You communicate fluently in English and have strong IT skills For further information, please contact: Heidi Kristensen on +45 3363 5161.
