Do you have the skills and experience to ensure high technical quality of production technology work and well integrity management in the DONG E&P Assets? Then you might be the Senior Production Technologist we are looking for. DONG E&P, a subsidiary of DONG Energy, conducts upstream operations in oil and gas. We operate and participate in a wide range of offshore exploration and production activities in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway and the United Kingdom (mainly West of Shetlands). The DONG E&P Business Unit has experienced significant growth in recent years and is facing exciting new challenges across our expanding portfolio of exploration, development and producing assets. In Denmark, the E&P Denmark Performance Unit under DONG E&P is responsible for exploration, development and production of oil and gas from the Danish continental shelf. We have a leading position in the Northern Danish North Sea, where we are active in 12 licenses, produce from 7 fields, of which 5 are operated. E&P Denmark is expanding its business in coming years by bringing new fields on-stream and maturing new discoveries for development. Areas of responsibility The position as Senior Production Technologist is in the Production Technology Team within the DK Subsurface Department, which is responsible for subsurface evaluations within E&P Denmark and providing support to our Norwegian and British E&P business units. Work is generally undertaken in integrated, multi-disciplinary teams and includes evaluation of new business opportunities, near-field exploration, appraisal planning, field development planning, unitisations and production operations. The Production Technology Team works fully integrated with the Subsurface Teams on design of new wells, interventions in existing wells, completions, and new technology. The right candidate will be exposed to a range of tasks ranging from exploration to brownfield developments including the HPHT Hejre Field Development. The Hejre Field Development has been sanctioned and the development of the Hejre HPHT field is in the Execution phase with construction of the facilities currently taking place. Development drilling is scheduled to commence in 2014. Work in the Hejre Subsurface Team focus on detailed planning of the development wells - including detailed data acquisition programmes, preparations for support of the drilling and production operations, and development of mitigation and contingency plans for potential optimisations during the drilling campaign. It is the responsibility of the Senior Production Technologist to undertake production technology and well integrity work in accordance with DONG E&P’s standards. The Senior Production Technologist may assist with attracting and recruiting production technology staff to meet the department’s work commitments. The Senior Production Technologist will be required to organise production technology and well integrity work, and supervise other production technology staff in collaboration with discipline supervisors and team leaders. He/she is ensuring high technical quality of production technology and well integrity work, collaboration within the subsurface community and the Production Technologist team, collaboration with relevant corporate departments, as well as promotion of new technologies, best practices and knowledge sharing. Your main tasks will include to: • Provide production technology support to ensure flawless delivery of oil and gas projects • Provide input to integrated field studies performed for field development and reservoir management planning • Provide input to Well Integrity management system • Provide functional well and completion designs that account for the entire lifecycle of fields • Perform integrated production system analysis enabling selection of optimal development options and identification of production enhancement opportunities • Provide the link between subsurface and well engineers to ensure optimised well design and well performance • Provide the link between surface and subsurface engineering to ensure the delivery of integrated development solutions and reservoir management initiatives • Provide specialist expertise and advice as and when required within the DK Assets Your Profile Ideally, you will have a relevant engineering background at Master's level or higher. Moreover we expect your professional experience to include: • 5-12 years of relevant working experience • Well integrity design and management • Well intervention design & requirements (work-over, stimulation, production logging planning, coiled tubing conveyed operations) • Well modelling for Production and Injection well performance optimisation • Artificial lift design • Sand control design • Completion design, including Flow Assurance, Production Chemistry and material selection • Drilling and completion fluid design • Well test design and execution • Data management planning and execution • Well operations requirements • Well maintenance requirements As a person you have/are: • Good understanding of the upstream E&P business • Good understanding of reservoir geology and reservoir engineering • Knowledge of well drilling and completion operations • Good analytical and communication skills • Fluent command of the English language We offer We offer an exciting and challenging role in a large company with growing activities and challenges.
