We are looking for you, an experienced Senior Java Web Developer, to join our Berlin office which is located in the trendy neighborhood of Kreuzberg. Let’s have a look at your key responsibilities

•Develop and maintain a high quality, world-ready code base

•Deliver robust software that adheres to the end needs of the customer base

•Strive for constant improvements using best practices of the industry, like refactoring and code reviews

•Work closely together with the team members to constantly shape and implement reliable solutions based on the platform’s architecture

•Lookout for the bigger picture and contribute new ideas

•Improve processes, documentation and tools

•Take ownership of your role in the team, work independently and proactively share your knowledge and experience

Your Profile

•5+ years professional programming experience, 3+ with Java Web Technologies (Spring, JSP, Tomcat and more)

•More than a year of professional experience using Spring framework (Core and MVC)

•Strong skills on design and implementation of public RESTful web services

•Experience with JUnit and test driven development methodologies

•Expert on relational database technologies like MySQL or MSSQL

•Proficient in debugging, profiling and performance optimization of Java based applications

•In depth understanding of web technology and best development practices (Like CI, TDD, BDD, code reviews)

•Wants to work in a constantly improving agile team

•Open-minded and friendly personality, ready to face new challenges with a positive mindset

•Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus skills

•Hybris expertise

•Apache SOLR experience

•Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript

•Understanding of e-commerce platforms

•Experience in the gaming industry

•A computer science degree
