Copenhagen Local/International Engineering/Technical Ref.: MO-059184 The Geomechanics Specialist will work in the Geomechanics Team and provide critical analysis and support of all geomechanics related activities across the organisation. He/she will provide technical evaluations from the borehole scale to the field scale, managing and servicing projects for business units and for global field development projects. The role will also involve establishing & maintaining links to joint industry projects and universities. We Offer •Gain and build experience with industry standard platforms such as Petrel, Eclipse, Elfen and VISAGE •Opportunity to develop within an operational, cross disciplinary international working environment Key Responsibilities •Build and develop 3D geomechanical models for oil and gas fields by integrating the geophysical, geological, petrophysical, drilling and completions data sets •Integrate reservoir simulation, production data, and stress models to perform geomechanical analysis in support of reservoir management, field development planning and well delivery processes •Develop and deploy geomechanics workflows and routines Who we are looking for •Solid background in continuum mechanics, with a strong understanding of constitutive models, numerical modelling including the Finite Element Method •Good collaborative and team working skills •Candidates without experience in the upstream petroleum industry will be considered if they can demonstrate excellent achievements Maersk Oil is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 557,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Algeria.
