What is the job about?

Grundfos iGRID is an agile project/product that in parallel is developing, introducing and scaling new offerings to the district heating market.

We combine the best from our long history of reliable and efficient hardware with the best from the digital world that is opening new business opportunities where we have to act quickly.

The result is that Grundfos iGRID, based on real-time grid data and building heat meter data, can optimise the district heating grids by (1) reducing heat losses, (2) introducing renewable energy sources and (3) optimising buildings – all to the benefit of our district heating customer and the climate.

As our new frontend developer, you will work closely with 6-9 colleagues in a cross-functional scrum team setup. Your daily tasks will consist of participating in any team activities and contributing with your expertise of frontend development towards the common team goal of creating working software each sprint.

We focus on close collaboration inside the team together with team ownership, e.g. the team owns the code. We expect you to be curious and embracing experimenting with Extreme Programming in order to share knowledge in the team. Furthermore, we focus on keeping pull requests small and often to share knowledge in the team.

Cross-team excellence

You will also be part of an international cross-team chapter of equally minded developers with high digital ambitions. The chapter consists of talented colleagues, who are located in different teams, joint together by their field of expertise, looking to share the best solutions and thereby further evolve the collaboration and coordination between the different offering teams.

What do you need to apply?

You need to be proactive and engaged which means that you like to tackle challenges head on with a constructive, positive and creative attitude. It is essential that you have strong collaboration skills and want to work as part of a team. You are an eager learner of new things and keep yourself updated with latest trends within your area. You naturally have a customer focused mindset/customer empathy and is used to seeing things from an end-user perspective.



Furthermore

• You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

• Several years of real world experience in your field of expertise

• You have experience in Frontend development using different frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)

• You are proficient using JavaScript/Typescript

• You have experience working with Services and RESTful APIs

• You are interested in Test Driven Development

• You are familiar with modern DevOps principles: CI/CD Pipelines, Automated testing and Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Preferably you have experience building and consuming GraphQL API-s

• Bonus – you have experience with the application of the above technologies towards:

  • District heating b2b portal
  • IoT Device Data visualization
  • Maps, GIS data, Heatmaps
  • Analytics visualization
  • Service order handling
  • Alarm and event handling

• You have excellent English skills – verbally and in writing
