Copenhagen Local / International Engineering / Technical Ref.: MO-059522 Based at Maersk Oil head office in Copenhagen you will be working in the Engineering and Valuation Section of the Exploration Department. The Engineering and Valuation section is tasked with full life-cycle commercial evaluation of exploration prospects and new business opportunities. The Corporate Exploration department has an International focus and the candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of projects in the Maersk Oil’s worldwide portfolio. Key Responsibilities The key responsibility is to conduct early stage conceptual development studies leading to full life-cycle economic evaluations of early stage exploration and business development opportunities using probabilistic methods. Main tasks include: ?Identification and selection of appropriate development concepts ?Screening level cost estimation and benchmarking ?Construction of simulation models to generate cost and production forecasts and to facilitate probabilistic analysis ?Presentation of technical work to the review panel ?Understanding and application of fiscal regimes for different areas ?Generation and interpretation of key economic indicators using economic models Who we are looking for An engineer with commercial mind-set, you have more than 10 years of experience in early stage upstream field development and a strong knowledge of field development concepts both onshore and offshore in diverse international locations. You are experienced in using tools such as IHS Que$tor as well as familiar with Wood Mackenzie’s suite of products. You have a strong willingness to learn new skills, are able to work independently and as well as a part of a team with ease. You have a first class customer focus with a proactive approach and an ability to communicate clearly at the most senior levels. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is a prerequisite.
