Job offer description
We are looking for an experienced Backend services developer to join Taxify’s engineering team in the mobile apps sub-team in Tallinn, our home city.
Taxify is biggest taxi booking app in Eastern Europe with over 850,000 happy customers in 15 different cities. We have won numerous prizes for innovation and growth like “Best mobile app of Estonia 2015” and your goal is to improve Taxify even further!
You will be:
- Designing and coding Taxify’s growing backend systems
- Coding mostly in node.js (previous experience in node.js is not a requirement)
- Proactively fixing upcoming bugs and solving technical challenges
- Contributing ideas to our product development roadmap
You have:
- A university degree in a technical subject (Computer science, Mathematics or similar)
- 5+ years of experience in sofware development
- Good English and communication skills
- Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Experience with any SQL (Mysql/Postgre)
Extra credits for:
- Experience with micro-service and distributed systems
- Interest for real-time and asynchronous systems
- Familiarity with any cloud systems (AWS, Azure, Google app engine)
- Knowledge in C++, Java or any other OO language
