Business Finance is a focal point in Maersk Line for management reporting, financial planning, financial analysis supporting decision making and forecasting and budgeting.
With the aim of anchoring 'Finance' within the business we are organized and work in four dedicated teams, each responsible for a respective function in our Maersk Line organization (e.g., Commercial, Trade and Marketing, Operations and Strategy and Transformation).
The Senior Analyst position will support our Trade and Marketing function in Maersk Line. The Trade and Marketing function is responsible for profitability and strategy for our individual trades. This includes profit and loss, direction-setting, product management, pricing and contracting, market segmentation and yield optimisation.

Our Business Finance team acts as the financial sparring partners to our Heads of Trades and their Trade Managers.
As a Senior Analyst, you will be the dedicated partner and “CFO” to one a Head of Trade and his Trade Managers.
You will support their decision making process by providing financial management information, deep dive analysis, performance management reporting and financial planning.
Your role is to work with the Trade Managers to understand their business information needs and to design, develop and optimize existing and new reports, leveraging clear business insights.
Through close interaction with the Head of Trade and Trade Managers, you will perform deep dive analysis of performance and trends and influence appropriate actions to ensure financial results and objectives are maximized.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate holds a Master degree in Finance or Economics.
Candidates should have 5-10 years of work experience from a similar position within Business Control, Performance Management, Business Development or equivalent.
We expect you to have an 'analytical mindset' - able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture.
You are an extroverted team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.
The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English.
Finally, you should have a 'self-starter attitude' and be able to see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
