Haugesund Sanitetsforenings Revmatismesykehus AS is a specialized hospital for rheumatological diseases, dermatological diseases and orthopedic surgery. The hospital is situated in Haugesund, on the western coast of Norway and is situated in a newly renovated hospital, opened in 2015. The hospital has about 170 employees, and has been an integrated part of the public health service since its establishment in 1957. The department of dermatology has a regional responsibility for diagnosis and treatment of dermatology and venereology for patients in the Helse Fonna area. It is the only clinic in the region with this competence, sizing approx. 180.000 inhabitants. The department is an outpatient clinic consisting of 16 employees, within 6 doctors.

The applicants must have a holistic dermatological perspective, with integration of classic dermatology and skin surgery and allergology. It is desirable with experience within advanced dermatological surgery, mycology and STD.

Rheumatology

The department of rheumatology contains 9 positions for rheumatologists. The main activity is within an outbound clinic, but the hospital also has 5 rheumatological beds. The department of rheumatology has a regional responsibility for diagnosis and treatment of rheumatology for patients in the Helse Fonna and Helse Stavanger area.

It is desirable with applicants who hold wide experience, also within research.

Orthopedic surgery & Anesthesiology

The department of surgery holds 3 positions for orthopedic surgeons, and one for anesthesiology.

In addition to the inbound patients, the department also has an outbound clinic. The department has recently undergone a major renewal, and now holds 2 top modern operation rooms.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Rehabilitering Vest is an own company within the hospital, with a capacity of 40 patients undergoing rehabilitation. 10 of these are day-rehabilitation.
