The job offer is available for the following event:

The main focus of this position is to oversee all aspects of the Restaurant Department. To ensure customer satisfaction in the restaurant and room service function by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service, set up, break down of conferences, meetings, conventions, and banquets based on event orders and guest needs.  All work is carried out in line with departmental and hotel guidelines.

Main duties:

  • To assist the Restaurant Manager in supervising the function of all Restaurant Department employees, facilities, sales and costs in order to ensure maximum departmental profits are achieved.
  • To assist the Restaurant Manager and in controlling, analysing and ensuring optimum performance in:    
    • Quality levels of product and service
    • Guest satisfaction
    • Merchandising and marketing
    • Operating costs
    • Sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene
  • To assist the Restaurant Manager in the preparation, presentation and service of banquet food and beverage products so as to ensure highest quality at all times.
  • To inspect equipment, technical equipment, linen, silver, china and other items
  • To know how to operate all departmental equipment, including technical equipment
  • To plan for, and carry out, work in accordance with the hotel standards
  • To greet clients, go through the function sheets to establish any changes or additions and ensure the provision of excellent service to the guests.
  • To assist in the identification of training needs within the Restaurant Department
