Restaurant Manager at The Barton 

 

Tucked away in the Kildare’s idyllic countryside, yet just a stone’s throw from Dublin, the iconic K Club sits in a world of its own. This prestigious resort has earned its reputation as one of Ireland’s key luxury destinations.

 

Now under new ownership The K Club is being reimagined. The resort is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, which will see The K Club transformed into a truly unique leisure experience.

 

We are now seeking out the best and brightest talent to join us on our exciting new journey. We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager to lead our food and beverage team in the evening at The Barton.

 

The Position

  • Effectively manage the roster and schedule for the team based on activities and business levels
  • Coordinate the daily work and activities of staff. Allocate stations and duties as appropriate.
  • Identify training needs, write and maintain effective Training Manuals with the other supervising staff members and ensure their implementation with new and existing staff.
  • To liaise with the chief sommelier in relation to stock levels
  • To be responsible for the upkeep and stocking of the Eurocaves
  • To assist in the smooth, efficient running of the Restaurant & Private Dining spaces in relation to food & beverage service.
  • To ensure all aspects of wine service and standards of presentation and service are maintained. 
  • Promote a sense of team spirit and a positive working atmosphere within the restaurant and with all other departments.
  • Ensure that both you and your team are fully conversant with all dishes on the menus to advise guests with their choice and to take the order accurately.
  • Manage restaurant bookings, verifying all resident guests to be accounted for and confirming non resident guests.

 

Requirements of the role

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Must have the ability to lead, multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Standards driven with a high attention to detail 
  • Excellent customer service skills
