The solar heating group at DTU Civil Engineering is seeking a research assistant in solar heating and heat storage. DTU Civil Engineering is a department at DTU dedicated to conduct research, education and innovation within solar energy at the highest international level.
Responsibilities and tasks
The research assistant will work on heat storage including PCM (Phase Change Material) heat storage and solar heating systems related to research projects of the solar heating group at DTU Byg. This research includes tests of heat storages, solar collectors and solar heating systems.
The chosen candidate will contribute to the teaching at the department and to the internal collaboration at the department and external collaboration with industrial and academic partners in Denmark and abroad.
Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
The chosen candidate has a Master in Civil Engineering and expertise on heat storage and solar heating systems as well as measurement methods on heat storages and solar heating systems.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus and the position is temporary, 1 January 2016 – 28 February 2017.
