The Innovation Bid Center (IBC) is the regional organization for EMEA South to support the Market Units (MU) with enterprise architecture design, project engineering and bid management.  The solutioning lead of the IBC will be active in enterprise architecture design and project engineering during the bidding phase.

As a Regional Solution Lead in the EMEA South Innovation Bid Center (IBC), you will:

  • Be the counterpart for client to understand business context, IT landscape, business and technical requirements
  • Orchestrate and manages solutioning, project engineering and act as subject matter expert (in part) of the target solution.
  • Introduce innovative solutions and methods into the customer landscape.
  • Works closely together with the subject matter experts, bid manager, project manager and MU stakeholders.
  • Represents the IBC in customer or MU meetings.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Enterprise architecture design:

  • During the different phases of bidding (project qualification, rough order of magnitude, binding proposal) the solutioning lead is the pivotal contact for the market unit and customer to get support for enterprise architecture design.
  • Assemble a team of subject matter experts to complement him/herself with expertise, to design the to-be architecture based on the SAP product-family.
  • A solutioning lead first focus on understanding the customer, the current environment and complexity of the requirements to document the right technical and functional architecture.
  • Drive solution alignment with the SAP innovation strategy: intelligent enterprise, SAP Leonardo (AI, Blockchain, Iot), Model Company and best practices, …
  • Prepare and run workshops with the customer, including preparation of formal presentations, to define processes and agree on the design.
  • Analyse and define requirements for customer-specific development needs or integration requirements
  • Reports progress and status of the solutioning engagement to MU Bid Manager and IBC.
  • Support and provides input to the project manager during project engineering together with his solutioning team.

Project Engineering:

  • In case no project manager is assigned, the solutioning lead should be able to:
    • draw up project approach
    • introduce innovative approach (Model Company, Advanced Deployment,  ..)
    • make project estimations for the effort and timeline
    • take into account the MU specifics
    • use estimation tools to deliver a rough-order-of magnitude
    • draw up a resource plan/mix
    • list the project deliverables and responsibilities
    • complement the list of assumptions

Improving capabilities

  • Continuous upskilling on new SAP solutions
  • Continuous upskilling on new methods and tools (Transformation Navigator, Readiness Check, …)
  • Take ownership to drive one or more internal improvement projects

 

Experience

  • A solutioning lead should come with solutioning and project management background:
    • Extensive experience as solution architect (8 years), complemented with some project management experience.
    • Extensive project management experience (5 full cycle) complemented with solution architect experience or strong interest in enterprise architecture design.
  • Extensive SAP implementation experience (8+ years) in multiple industry sectors
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Intelligent Enterprise).  Knowledge of SAP C/4HANA and/or SAP Leonardo and/or SAP Cloud Platform would be a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, SAP Model Company and SAP implementation tools such as SAP Solution Manager would be a distinct advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Portugees.
