Then you could be the new R&D Specialist we are looking for in Danfoss Industrial Automation. You will become instrumental in developing our future sensor technologies. Your overall mission will thus be to spot the latest technology trends and participate actively in the development of these technologies for our sensor portfolio, which currently consists of pressure and temperature sensors. Develop and improve innovative solutions within sensor technologies As R&D Specialist in Industrial Automation it will be your overall mission to secure continuous technological innovation within Industrial Automation's sensor business. Specifically, you are the key player who will: •Spot technology trends within pressure and temperature sensors •Become our key specialist within sensors based on MEMS technology •Ensure the development and maturing of new technologies for use in our next generation of products •Use your application insights and technology skills to develop new concepts that could revolutionize the cost-performance ratio of our products •Validate these concepts by a combination of relevant theoretical analyses/ simulations and experiments on prototypes that you help to get •Support our supply chain with sensor expertise when needed Generally, we will be relying on you and the team you are a part of to ensure a cutting edge value proposition for sensors developed in Industrial Automation. Curious engineer with strong analytical skills and a global view You hold a master’s degree in engineering or physics and have a solid theoretical background within applied materials science, micromechanics or sensors. Furthermore, you have solid experience within Industrial R&D – more specifically experience with technology and product development of industrial components and experience with reverse engineering and technology trend spotting. From your previous working experience, you have a well-developed ability to understand customer needs and invent new product features to satisfy these needs. As a person, you are creative and curious with strong analytical skills. As you will be working closely with highly specialised colleagues to deliver on advanced sensor elements, it is vital that you are a talented team player capable of communicating ideas and results within your area of expertise to non-experts and that you have a strong drive to deliver results.
