Oskarshamn Hospital lies in the middle of County Kalmar and is one of the three hospitals in County Kalmar. The Department for Radiology is a part of Oskarshamn Hospital. The Oskarshamn Hospital is a small hospital, with short communication ways between all the wards and departments, which makes it easier making quick decisions. Oskarshamn hospital has been voted being the best small Hospital in Sweden several of times over the last couple of years.

Many Europeans have already made their permanent move to Kalmar county and are now working and living here. Kalmar airport connects you to 2 airports in Stockholm (city airport of Bromma and international airport Arlanda) to all kind of destinations in the world. If you prefer to take the train you can travel other cities in Sweden as well as Copenhagen airport and the city of Copenhagen. Located 1,5 hours from Kalmar you also find Småland airport which has direct flights to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf.

The hospital in Oskarshamn is a part of Region Kalmar. Job description

The Radiology department is looking for radiographers with or without experience in conventional radiology, CT and MRI, intervention radiology, mammography, etc. Our departments are in constant progress. The radiology departments are very well-equipped. Our team consists of a good mixture of both experienced and new colleagues with fresh knowledge from universities. Together we create a workplace with great commitment and participation, where everyone has the opportunity to be involved and influence decisions.

The position as a radiographer includes working shifts (evenings, nights and weekends).

A licensed radiographer with a great drive and the ability to see the bigger picture. You are a great team player with a positive attitude. You are curious to learn and want to grow in your profession as a radiographer. Our motto is that the best interest of the patient always comes first.

We require:

Registrered Radiographer within the EU/EEA

If applicable, specialty registerered nurse/radiographer compliant with the EU directive EU/EEA nationality

Basic computer skills in Microsoft office

English and Swedish language skills

Terms of employment

Before moving to Sweden you need to reach B2 level in the Swedish language. Your license as a radiographer needs to be recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.

Your employment will start with an introduction period. We provide further language studies in Swedish to reach the C1 level. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Kalmar, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.  

All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary are set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
