The position

  • Full responsibility for managing various projects from initial conception through to completion in Germany and/or other European countries where MEININGER is expanding
  • Develop, review and control a measurable and accountable schedule and critical path for each allocated development project to ensure successful and timely implementation
  • Manage and establish project budgets including cost control and provide regular updates of all project cash flows, programs and project KPIs to senior management
  • Manage the internal and external stakeholders to satisfaction
  • Manage and coordinate the development of the MEININGER interior design process
  • Handle the contracting and tendering phase for  MEININGER consultants/suppliers
  • Set up contract with FF+E contractor and monitor his performance on site
  • Handle approval of invoices and provide monthly report including cost report to the Project Director
  • Handle approval of architectural documents, construction drawings and other plans in line with company standards and budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate and liaise with appointed external consultants, such as Interior Designers, M&E technical advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the handover of the building, the implementation of FF&E and the handover to Operations

 

Your profile

  • Degree in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Construction Project Management, Design, Construction and/or Engineering
  • Proven track record (minimum 3 -5 years) in a project management function in construction (new build / refurbishment / fit-out), preferably in the hospitality sector, alternatively in retail, restaurants or other standardized real estate product
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of parties and to select, work with, and build successful relationships with a variety of
  • industry stakeholders
  • Experience with project planning tools, controlled budgets and project timelines
  • Systematic in the approach towards business with strong technical, time management and organizational skills
  • Passionate about standards and written Standard Operating Procedures
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both oral and written, are critical, additional European language skills being beneficial
