Cyber Security is part of Vestas Power Solutions designs and deliveries modern, secure and maintainable IT solutions. Aims to create value for Vestas and our customers with future solutions using latest technology and security trends in order to detect the potential threats before they become real.
As Power Plant Hardware Engineer, you will work in team working with the Hardware (PLC, Servers, Network components) and software systems (OS, databases) in the SCADA & Communication Infrastructure department
Your focus will be to:
Build design prototypes for next generation Power plant products like SCADA, drawings and Bill of materials
Writing and reviewing requirement specs, design descriptions, verification reports and procedures
Participate and facilitate the design reviews, peer reviews for technology projects to develop SCADA products
Ensure proper life-cycle management for all SCADA products from the initial development phase until handover to serial production covering entire value chain
Support in building relevant product hardware architecture & relevant product options
Interact with our Global sourcing function regarding new components and support qualifying any new suppliers
Change management covering hardware releases and provide end-of-life support to ensure continuous supply chain
Design and ensure certification compliance according to various industrial standards like UL, IEC and other safety regulative
Design for production, service and act as strong interface to production business units (PBU)
Perform and take part in testing on real time Hardware-in-Loop both in simulated and real WTG environments
Give inputs to sales and marketing documentation, including educational material
Similar position or work experience on hardware architecture and lifecycle management
For instance knowledge about HP, Lenovo, Cisco, Ethernet/networks switches, UPS, Raid systems, Windows/Linux, PLC & Database systems
EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) and LOTO (Lock-out Tag-out) related experience
Technical product documentation (English)
Hardware network components and systems, risk management
