Postdoctoral fellow in superconducting qubits design and fabrication at the Center for Quantum Devices/Station Q Copenhagen, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen
A postdoctoral position is available to design, fabricate, and implement scalable coherent quantum circuits based on superconducting qubits at the Center for Quantum Devices and Station Q Copenhagen. This project will extended recent work on realizing transmon-like qubits using proximitized semiconductor nanowires, with the goal of building multi-qubit circuits. Work will involve design, fabrication, and low-temperature characterization of multi-qubit circuits, working on a team of 4-5 researchers.
The candidate should have a PhD in experimental physics or related disciplines, extensive experience in nanofabrication of electronic devices, and ideally, familiarity with superconductivity and low-temperature microwave measurements. Duties will include research, writing, and in some cases supervising PhD students. Teaching related courses is also possible.
More information about QDev and the Microsoft Station Q collaboration can be found at QDev.dk. Inquiries about the position can be made to Charles Marcus (email@example.com) or Karl Petersson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The position is open from 1 January 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The University wishes our staff to reflect the diversity of society and thus welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of personal background.
