As a Planner Buyer at Melexis, you will manage the relation with suppliers/subcontractors for Supply Chain related topics, and act for these topics as the single point of contact between Melexis and supplier/subcontractor. More specifically, you will

  • Being the interface towards the suppliers/subcontractors, translating the Melexis requirements into orders and tracing material till delivered.
  • Determine the demand and manage the correct Melexis assigned inventory for/at subcontractors` services, taking into account the capacity at subcontractor and the efficiency in Melexis Production Processes, to meet Melexis internal and external customers demand.
  • Manage the phase in / phase out of projects in production and new projects coming from development or business units in cooperation with Development Logistics Responsible (DLR) and Industrialization Planner.
  • Prepare, negotiate and execute Logistic Service Level Agreement (e.g.: stock, price, cycle time, cost, capacity agreements), according to Melexis supplier strategic roadmap and monitor the agreed KPI`s in order to drive improvement actions at suppliers.
  • Communicate delivery changes and problems at the suppliers’ side to the internal customers.
  • Assure logistic data from suppliers/subcontractors are at any time up to date and available.

Profile:

  • University degree (Master) in economics, business administration or engineering
  • Thorough knowledge in supply chain planning methodologies and processes
  • Excellent knowledge on negotiating techniques with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Accurate in working with data and figures, high numerical ability and analytical thinking
  • Basic knowledge of TS 16949
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system
  • Fluent in English.
