The Laboratory Functions at the Karolinska University Hospital have a national leading role in laboratory medicine. Our expertise is found in all laboratory medical disciplines. Job description

You will work in a laboratory in one or more diagnostic areas. You will participate in the supervision of new employees and students. We expect you to take the initiative and actively participate in the function’s improvement measures. Furthermore, you will perform independent tasks in compliance with applicable certificates of competency. The role includes contributing to the function being managed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, ethical principles and applicable core values.

Working hours are daytime, but evening, night and weekend work may also be relevant.

Requirements

  • Registered Biomedical Scientist within the EU/EEA or a similar education.
  • Minimum 3 years job experience in a laboratory is desired.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
  • English and Swedish language proficiency (minimum level B2, eventually leading up to level C1).

Terms of employment

If you have an international degree, the first step toward working at Karolinska University Hospital is to have your diploma recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, i.e. Socialstyrselsen who issues license to practice. Please find more information about the process of recienving a Swedish license to practise here.



Your employment will start with an introduction period, combined with further language studies.

Salary

From 27.500 SEK monthly. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.

All contracts follow local and national collective agreements.
