Core responsibilities

In this position you will act as the Operational/Commercial point of contact for PayPal Partners across payment service providers and specialist industry partners, dealing with contacts at these partners ranging from the CFO to the partner account manager.

You will help support and grow Incremental Revenue through partners and working closely with Business Development team in our Business Unit.

You will have to provide a smooth onboarding for all partners: educating, providing them with all training materials. These industries include retails, booking engine, government, travel, education, accounting and insurance.

You will ensure that the appropriate PayPal products are offered to the Partner’s merchant and business customers. This exciting role will also carry responsibility for the day-to-day operational task of the role of PayPal German market key partner relationships.

You will also be the point of contact for Telesales and Support function knowledge training and collateral availability on partners.

Work directly with Partners via phone or email to address and resolve questions, concerns and issues.

Apply research and problem-solving skills whilst working with multiple internal departments to address and resolve their queries.

You will have proven past sales/business development experience gained in a position such as a Partner Management, Shopping Cart Management, Key Account Manager/Relationship Manager, Partners, Acquiring Services, ideally in the payment, e-commerce or internet industry.

You will have prior success in partnership management with the proven ability to work with partners in complex customer environments, with multiple decision makers at many levels, internally and externally.

Requirements: 

Fluent English & German

Strong analytical abilities.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to think creatively 

Project management experience

Key Account manager /Relationship manager experience

Sell strategically both internally and externally.

Interest in continually developing personal and professional skills.

Strongly success-oriented and highly motivated. Passion for the internet and the e-commerce; internet experience desired.

Ability to articulate PayPal's value proposition. Negotiating & modelling skills. Entrepreneurial spirit.

A great team player with a collaborative approach.

Knowledge required:

Understanding of the German market online commerce environment with a specific understanding of this for m-commerce.

Knowledge of payment processing, merchant accounts and e-commerce is preferable

Excellent understanding of the payments space in the German Market and the actual developments trends.

Knowledge of online payment processing, credit-card merchant accounts and the online merchant
