For the satellite operations team, we a looking for a self-driven and proactive Operations Engineer. You will have the opportunity to become part of an internationally oriented and dedicated team aiming at providing exceptional nanosatellite solutions to customers on the global market. The main function of this role is to operate and monitor our network of nanosatellites and be the main focal point of the satellite operations centre. It’s a new role within the team and the right candidate will have the opportunity to develop the position further.



The Job Incluces the Following Set of Tasks:

  • Operations and maintenance to our nanosatellite systems, equipment, and other related systems
  • Basic troubleshooting of satellite equipment by diagnosing equipment failure or non-optimal performance
  • Plan and schedule updates and performing preventative maintenance actions with relevant teams and projects
  • Continuous development of the operations platform and support tools
  • Document and report on all technical problems and solutions

 

We expect the Employee to Have the Following Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical education, and a min. of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience from operations of satellites preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Python, Linux scripting, JavaScript and databases preferred, but not required
  • Experience with network configuration and monitoring
  • Experience with development and mainteanance of installation, configuration and operation procedures
  • Experience and knowledge of radio communication (UHF/VHF) considered a plus
  • Ability to develop and build automation tools considered a plus
  • Thrive in a broad role with great responsibility and interfaces to the software, hardware and planning teams
  • Service-minded, responsible and eager to take our current operations setup to the next level
  • Able to work flexible hours in certain periods according to how our satellites travel in space
  • English on a professional level
