As a nurse in the municipality service, you are employed in the support and care sector, which is one of four sectors in Mariestad municipality. The sector includes the departments of care and welfare, development assistance, individual and family care and the labor market unit.
We are now looking for five licensed nurses. We can offer different kinds of Schedules: Monday-Friday day-, shift- and night schedules.
As a nurse, you work with people with different needs, everything from basic health care interventions to increasingly qualified care at home.
The tasks are varied, which include:
We are looking for you who have an european nurse education and have a driving license B. Regarding your swedish language level we require level B.
For those of you who are interested in working as a nurse responsible for patients, we see that you have experience of municipal health care, the right to prescribe medications and have a supervisor training.
For the position, we are looking for you who are determined with an open approach. You are solution-oriented, strive to provide the safest possible care and are responsive. It is an advantage if you have good communication and documentation skills.
As a nurse in Mariestad municipality, you get to work in teams with almost 60 nurses.
Your working group consists of three to five nurses, of which one is a district nurse.

For those of you who wish to further your education in the profession, Mariestad Municipality can offer competence development initiatives. This means that one day a week can be dedicated to studies where the municipality also pays for the literature.
License to practice as a nurse responsible for general care
If you want to work as a nurse responsible for general care in Sweden, you need a Swedish licence. If you have received your training in another EEA Member State and want to work as a nurse responsible for general care in Sweden, you need a formal recognition of your professional qualifications. This recognition is based on EC Directive (2005/36/EC). The permission to use a protected specialist nursing title can be issued after an assessment based on the Directive’s general system for mutual recognition of evidence of formal qualifications.
