We have an exciting opportunity for an  MRI Clinical Specialist Radiographer for a leading hospital in Waterford. 

About the role:

Manage, supervise and undertake the day-to-day operational issues of the MRI department, maintain an effective and efficient high quality radiographic service

Assist the Radiology Service Manager in leading, managing and motivating the radiography and administrative team, with particular emphasis on all matters appertaining to MRI

Assist in coordinating the activities of the Diagnostic Imaging Dept. liaising with Consultants, medical staff and other healthcare professionals and service managers to promote a patient focused service

Keep up to date with current techniques and developments in radiographic and imaging procedures

Demonstrate flexibility in accordance with the service needs of the Department and partake in the Departments radiographic rota

Ensure that Local and National Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times

It is essential you have: 

Radiography qualification and CORU registration

MRI postgraduate course

Minimum 6 years post graduate expereince 

Excellent Radiographic and MRI skills

Excellent Organisational and Managerial skills
