Would you like to be part of developing exciting new LEGO® Products in a global environment? Be part of an integrated product development process where you are the glue that ties the entire process together? Develop never seen, never done play experiences Our overall goal is to eliminate risks in the early stage of new product development by maturing LEGO® Bricks for mass production. Your role is to work in Front End projects in the earliest stage of product development and prove whether or not future play elements are feasible. As such, you will: - Participate in Front End projects where you create 3D CAD models and specifications for plastic parts or special parts according to requirements - Develop innovative and functional high level prototypes with large degree of innovation and play experience but still with low final manufacturing cost and low complexity - Hand over prototypes, CAD models and specifications on critical parts after proof of concept to Novelty teams for further development - Always make sure that you find the optimum compromise between play function and design requirements versus developing the plastic parts that are designed for manufacturing - Navigate and take into account all requriments from all stakeholders, covering design and consumers to production Collaboration from A to Z The LEGO Group is an international, family-owned business and collaboration shapes everything we do. Joining a small team of 5 Mechanical Engineers, you will receive all the support, sparring and knowledge you need to become a success in this position. Experienced product developer You will be challenged on your ability to navigate across all the involved stakeholders in the projects while finding the best compromise that encompasses the best ideas. To do so successfully, you must: - Be a skilled Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Plastic Engineer or Technician - Be an experienced product developer with broad experience preferably within plastic - Have experience from developing products in different materials and a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes - Have solid experience with 3D CAD modeling - Speak and write English - Be willing to chase the right solution and you have a "we succeed together" mind-set - Execute on your tasks, knowing when to shut down the open, innovative phase Join the global family of LEGO® In the LEGO® Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you will collaborate across the LEGO Community.
