For the Service Engineering Department, part of the Service organization at our office in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for a competent Mechanical Engineer with a passion for and experience in continuous design improvements. Service Engineering is working with continuous product improvement and developing retrofit solutions to our installed turbine fleet.

What are my responsibilities? Your primary area of responsibility will be to identify critical technical issues and defects of our wind turbines and to develop solutions for improvements in close cooperation with the Engineering department (issues related to the main bearings, drives and other main mechanical components of our turbines). More specifically, your work assignments will cover: · Conducting failure root cause analyses based on field tests, inputs from regions etc. · Analyzing and investigating non-defect and defect components for performance evaluation · Forecasting field behavior of components, based on statistical and hands-on experience · Participating in test and validation of new components · Support the organization in technical matters · Developing retrofit solutions Up to 20 % travelling activities must be expected to support our regions when needed.

What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or Marine Engineering. Experience in working with continuous product improvements within the Mechanical field as well as experience with mechanical systems for the wind turbines industry is considered an advantage but it is not a requirement · You have a systematic approach to your assignments, and you are capable of working independently as well as in teams · You are a good observer and you have a flair for spotting details and relating those to a bigger picture · You excel in a busy environment where no two days are the same and you have to prioritize your tasks and maintain the necessary focus · You are a skilled communicator who can interact at all levels in an international organization · You possess good English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
