The Maersk Line Learning and Organizational Development department has recently been awarded the BEST in class
award by the Association for Talent Development. This award recognizes our evolution over the years from a simple
ELearning provider to a true Strategic Transformation Partner.
Originally training was an afterthought of most strategic projects, but now the Global L&OD team is brought in at
the beginning of every Maersk Line strategic project. We are now searching for a Programme Manager who will help
us deliver our largest training program to date. It is a comprehensive IT systems training paired with behavior training
that will hit over 11.000 employees world wide.

This position offers you an opportunity to build a broad network and to showcase your abilities during this 2 years
contract. Successful performance over this period will open the door to other internal opportunities upon completion
of the project.


Key Responsibilities

The L&OD Program Manager for Simplification is the driver of the Simplification LOD initiatives. He/she is accountable for the seamless, sustainable implementation of standard, global learning programs liaising with the vendor, relevant SPoCs (Single Points of Contact) and the standard logistics partner. The main tasks are:

  • Translating the business / functional programme needs into specific development programme actions.
  • Working with the Global Learning Manager to design the solution to address the change in behaviors / capabilities as defined in the Project Charter & Business Impact.
  • Working with the business and vendors to develop the programme components using simple, cost effective, and best in class learning solutions.
  • Managing the various Subject Matter Experts & external consultants in creating the L&OD content (slides, e-Learning, facilitator’s guides, Job aids, etc…).
  • Setting the rollout plan with the Project Team and the Programme Coordinator, after liaising with relevant SPoCs and vendor.
  • Making sure the Business Impact of the programme is calculated from the pilots and initial rollouts.
  • Presenting the Business Impact to the Global Learning Manager and the appropriate business leaders. Closes out the Project Charter from the perspective of Design & Development of the learning solution.
  • Ensuring the programme has a plan for continued usage / new hires.
  • Setting a programme closure date with the Simplification Project Team.


Who we are looking for

The ideal canidate has:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience with project management.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in designing and building large, global training programs which require organizing a large number of stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple project stakeholders, and build consensus among the team.
  • Robustness to high stress environment.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Able to make decisions quickly.
  • Strong personal drive for results, and comfort driving results through others.
  • Presentation skills – PPT creation and facilitation skills.
  • Project Management Certification as a nice to have.
