Job offer description

The Merriman Hotel is a Traditional Thatch-roofed 30-Bedroom Hotel on the Main Street of the seaside town of Kinvara, on Galway Bay, on the Wild Atlantic Way. Kinvara is at the gateway to the Burren district of County Clare, including the Burren National Park, Local attractions include the Burren Nature Sanctuary, Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee and Doolin Caves,, Aran Islands and the vast built and natural heritage of the Burren.

Duties of the Kitchen Porter include:

  • Kitchen preparation including 
  • Assist Chefs to clean the kitchen
  • Empty and clean waste bins
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the kitchen
  • Pot wash, dishes wash and clean additional equipment as scheduled
  • Assist the chef with deliveries
  • Undertake any other duties as instructed
  • Working knowledge of HACCP procedures is an advantage
