R&D Software Engineering is at the core of Luciad's suite of geospatial situational awareness software components. Collaborating with world-leading experts, you perform the necessary research to stay at the forefront of your domain, and invest your creativity into the design and development of leading software products. You apply state-of-the-art techniques in the domains of object-oriented methodology, computer graphics, applied mathematics and web technology.

Profile:

We are looking for people with the following profiles:

  • Software engineer with a heart for C++ and C# / .NET development.

    Proven knowledge of C++ and C# application frameworks such as Qt, WPF and WinForms.

  • Java Software Engineer. 

    Professional experience with Java software development is considered a plus.

  • Expert in Rich Internet Application (RIA) and JavaScript web development with proven knowledge of cross-browser web development & web services. 

    Knowledge of several web technologies such as HTML 5, CSS, popular JavaScript libraries, JSP, JEE / servlets, SOAP, REST, WebSocket.

in addition ot thorough knowledge of one of the above fields:

  • A team player with a heart for agile software development.

  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English, any other language is an asset

  • University degree in informatics or computer science, or equivalent through experience.

  • In-depth understanding of object-oriented techniques and design patterns.

  • Experience with GIS, Web Services, C++ or .NET, HTML5, Android, OpenGL / OpenCL, DirectX is considered a plus.
