Lawler Sustainability is a leading company in Ireland in the built environment sector and was awarded for two years in a row the title of Best Building Performance Consultancy (up to 50 employees) in the UK and Ireland. We are uniquely the only One Stop Shop (OSS) in Ireland for the past 5 years offering full Energy & Sustainability services from Research and Innovation to Energy Performance Contracting where we design, finance, construct and facility manage energy retrofit projects.

At the backbone of our services, our own Vision system is an Internet of Things platform that digitises and automates different aspects of building performance. Vision collects live data from site through meters and sensors, stores and processes the data through smart analytics and algorithms which automatically trigger corrective/improvement actions (through on site actuators). Vision is a technology agnostic system and works with a range of different IoT communication protocols (e.g. LoRaWAN, EnOcean, MQTT, etc.)

We are looking for a passionate individual to lead the development of the Vision system, that proposes to be the ultimate digitised solution for building management and Internet of Things applications.

The duties and responsibilities of the position will be overarching, with a strong element of project management:

  • Project management of Vision development
  • Managing an outsourced team
  • Have a clear input into the system architecture
  • Develop the script for integration of new devices
  • Provisioning of new devices to the platform
  • Maintain and update an asset register
  • Complete additional training/education where needed

Required Skills:

  • Holder of a Third Level Diploma/Degree in Automation, Programming, Software, Data Science, or a similar discipline
  • Good technical knowledge of systems architectures (databases and querying)
  • Good knowledge of Java, JavaScript, JSON, SQL
  • Capability of managing projects within timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
