Job offer description

Novo Nordisk A/S

Ballerup, 1 stilling

- Student & Internship

- Denmark - Måløv

At Novo Nordisk, we share a passion for changing patients’ lives, and we are always looking for talented individuals who want to join us in this effort. Our internships provide exciting learning opportunities for students who bring new ways of thinking to our company.

About the department

In R&D Academic Partnerships we work to establish and manage strategic collaborations with leading universities to enable scientific project collaboration and talent attraction. Our focus lies within enabling our R&D organisation to gain access to top of the class innovation and also facilitate building talent pipelines to accommodate the future need for different talent segments to execute the R&D strategy, hence enabling the long-term success of Novo Nordisk. Part of this is our science-driven talent attraction and our internal PhD and PostDoc talent programme.

Our department has employees with varied backgrounds ranging from natural sciences, business and social sciences. We are specialists within our fields and we often carry out independent projects and tasks across the global R&D organisation as well as with external collaborators at academic centres.

The job

By joining the R&D Academic Partnerships team you will get a unique opportunity to learn about driving projects with both external and internal focus.

For our internal talent programme we work within a field of multiple stakeholders and we therefore heavily rely on having strong IT platforms (e.g. intra web and our external website) as well as branding and communication material for both internal and external use. Your job will include identifying and driving new communication initiatives as well as updating existing platforms. Further, we run many events and activities to engage with our stakeholders, where you will play a central role in driving and executing some of these events.

Our talent attraction initiatives aim at increasing awareness of Novo Nordisk R&D as an attractive employer among students, PhDs and PostDocs within Natural Sciences, Medicine and Engineering. We drive talent attraction events both in DK and abroad covering career fairs and company presentations but also more customised activities. You will be involved in developing, planning and coordinating these activities and your daily tasks will span from building new event concepts to communicating to the target group by using our employer value proposition. You will also drive the practical coordination of these events.

Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about project coordination, communication and event management. You are able to work independently as part of a project team and demonstrate flexibility when priorities change. You are methodical in your work, have excellent coordination skills and maintain a “can-do” positive spirit through times of pressure. We are looking for a candidate with some IT proficiency within database systems and social media platforms. You are currently in your first or second year of your master’s degree within e.g. Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Science or a related field. You already have some experience with cross-functional project management and you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be fluent in both oral and written English.

Practicalities

Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: January/February 2016 (per agreement)

The internship position is remunerated.

At Novo Nordisk, your skills, dedication and ambition help us change lives for the better. In exchange, we offer you an opportunity to work with extraordinary talent and benefit from a range of possibilities for professional and personal development.
